Meet Thomas Goebel
Thomas in 2014 at the Smithsonian Museum next to his highly awarded and collected image “Mystic Falls”
My name is Thomas Goebel and I'm truly grateful for your interest in my artwork. I hope as you explore my work, you find a piece that resonates with you.
I’m a self-taught fine art landscape photographer based in Vancouver, WA, specializing in creating museum-quality prints of vivid landscapes. Growing up in Florida, I was always captivated by the beauty of the local beaches and rivers, and picking up a camera felt like a natural way to express that love. With a sharp eye for light, color, and dramatic scenery, I soon became obsessed with exploring new places and tracking unique weather patterns. My passion for nature and photography has driven me to hone my craft for over a decade, and my collection of striking photographs now spans landscapes across the U.S.
I started gaining local recognition through regional competitions, but things really took off nationally in 2014. Three of my photographs were awarded by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and were exhibited in the Wilderness Forever 50 showcase. Today, they’re part of the Smithsonian’s permanent collection archives—a true honor for me, especially being part of an exhibition focused on preserving America’s great landscapes.
Each of my limited-edition photographs is crafted with the highest quality materials, using Fujiflex Crystal Archive Paper, ChromaLuxe Metal, and Lumachrome Acrylic. These materials help bring each image to life and invite you to experience nature in a new and intimate way.
My work has attracted a loyal following of collectors from all over the country, and I’d love for you to join me on this journey as I share these spectacular landscapes with you.
Thank you for taking a moment to appreciate nature through my artwork.
